Authorities during a raid at an unauthorised market in Al Shahaniya Municipality.
As many as 23 violations have been detected in Al Shahaniya Municipality during inspection raids against unauthorised markets.
The violations varied from selling food unfit for human consumption to throwing waste at non-designated places, and encroachments.
The campaign continued for three days and was conducted in collaboration with Al Shahaniya police section and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Interior.
The Municipality’s inspectors also registered seven cases of violations against vehicles transporting foodstuff in unhealthy conditions, and also sent samples of food to the Ministry of Public Health’s laboratory for testing.
