Doha, Qatar: Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar (VCUarts Qatar), a QF partner university, has launched its Spring 2026 Community Education programme, now open to the public for enrollment.
The programme offers nine courses running from January 2026 to May 2026, with topics ranging from artificial intelligence entrepreneurship, digital illustration, animation, branding, interior design, and 3D modeling.
The short format courses emphasise experiential learning that bridges traditional and emerging creative practices. They are designed to spark creative exploration across disciplines and are open to a wide range of learners, from teenagers to working professionals.
January kicks off with The Painter’s Walk: Observing, Reflecting, Creating (ages 16+), a two-part oil painting workshop that combines outdoor observation with guided studio practice. Participants will develop their understanding of brushwork, color application, and personal style through experimentation.
On February 4, a one-day Zine-Making Workshop (ages 16+) introduces participants to the history and purpose of zines while guiding them through the creation of both personal mini-zines and a collaborative group publication using collage, illustration, and rapid creative prompts.
From Idea to Startup Using AI Tools (ages 16+) offers a hands-on introduction to AI-driven entrepreneurship, guiding participants through transforming creative ideas into venture-ready concepts. The workshop, to be held on February 9, 2026, will explore real-world AI applications and invites participants to identify and respond to challenges connected to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
