Doha, Qatar: Under the patronage of Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the State of Qatar will host the joint tactical exercise of the security agencies of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, (Arabian Gulf Security 4), during the period from January 25 to February 4, 2026 with the participation of security agencies and forces from GCC member states, in addition to the participation of specialised security units from the friendly United States of America, with the aim of exchanging expertise and experiences in dealing with various events and scenarios.

The organisation of this exercise comes within the framework of strengthening the Gulf security cooperation system, enhancing levels of readiness and joint coordination in line with the evolving nature of security challenges, and reinforcing the ability to respond effectively and rapidly to crises and emergency incidents in accordance with best practices and approved standards.

The exercise includes joint training programs that simulate a number of realistic scenarios, allowing for the testing and development of procedures and operational plans, enhancing the efficiency of field coordination, and ensuring integration of roles among the various participating units and forces. It also supports the exchange of expertise and strengthens preparedness to deal with different situations and circumstances with efficiency and professionalism.

The Qatari Supreme Committee for the Exercise has completed all necessary organisational, training, and logistical arrangements for the participating forces, ensuring the execution of the exercise activities across several locations in accordance with the highest standards of security, safety, and operational efficiency. This guarantees the integration of training elements and their alignment with the set objectives, while contributing to enhanced readiness and the development of coordination and cooperation capabilities among the participating forces.

The Qatari Supreme Committee for the Exercise commends the participation of the sister GCC states and the United States of America in this event hosted on Qatari soil, affirming that Arabian Gulf Security 4 represents an important milestone in developing security coordination mechanisms and raising levels of preparedness and readiness. This aligns with the aspirations of GCC states toward a more integrated and effective security system that enhances the security and stability of the region.
