Annual Mushaira
Bazm e Urdu Qatar, established in 1959, has organised their 12th International Seminar on renowned Poet and Islamic scholar from Indian subcontinent, Allama Shibli Nomani and Annual Mushaira at Swiss Bell Hotel Doha recently.
The programme was presided over by Patron in Chief of Bazm e Urdu M S Bukhari, Managing Director, Satco Group. Poet and scholar from Pakistan Jazab Qureshi and Professor Shahper Rasool from India were the guests of honour and speakers. Speakers lectured on Shibli’s poetry and his role as educationist and poet in society at that time. Shibli Seminar was followed by Annual Mushaira attended by guest poets, Jazib Quraishi, Shahper Rasool and Mumtaz Rashid along with local poets, Amjad sarwar, Shafiq Akhtar, Fartash Syed, Shaukat Ali Naz,Aziz Nabeel, Syed Faheemuddin,Nadeem Mahir, Ijaz Haider, Mansoor Azmi, Qaisar Masood, Ahmed Ashfaq, Zawar Hussain, Athar Azmi, Athar Zia, Sadat Ali, Tahir Jamil and Raqim Azmi
Large number of Urdu lovers enjoyed the function. Bazm e Urdu annual magazine and first poetry book Dastaras by Poet Ahmed Ashfaq were also released at this occasion.
