Doha: Qatar will take part in the 16th session of Moscow International Holy Quran Award Contest, under way under the supervision of the Advisory Council of Muftis and the Islamic Department of Russian Muslims.
Youssuf Ashir will represent Qatar for the category of full memorisation of the holy book.
Mohamed bin Yaqoub Al Ali, Director, Da’wa and Religious Guidance, Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, said Qatar is participants in the contest for the second time. He stressed the ministry’s keenness to take part in Holy Quran international contests and hoped the Qatari contestant win an advance position.
