Doha, Qatar: Qatar's armed forces intercepted a missile attack targeting the country early Sunday morning, the Ministry of Defence announced, as authorities briefly raised the security threat level before declaring the situation resolved.
Qatar's Ministry of Interior issued an alert on Sunday morning raising the threat level, urging everyone to stay indoors and away from glass facades, and avoid unnecessary movement.
By 5:55am, the Ministry of Interior issued a follow-up message declaring the security threat "eliminated."
The Ministry of Defence subsequently confirmed that the armed forces had intercepted the missile attack targeting the State of Qatar.
