Chairman of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Ambassador H E Mohammed Al Emadi affirmed that Qatar will not abandon its established principles, including the support of the Palestinian people, particularly the population of the Gaza, in light of the siege imposed on the Strip. At a press conference with UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov, Al Emadi said that his visit to Gaza in this time aims to affirm to Palestinian people that " We are staying here to finish projects and implement new ones and to fulfill the commitments made by the State of Qatar in previous conferences." Doha supports Hamas because it is a component of the Palestinian people, just like Fatah," he added.
