The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) in collaboration with the International Federation for the Protection of Journalists, will organise an international conference entitled "Freedom of Expression: Towards Confronting Risk" on July 24-25.
The holding of this conference comes out of keenness to support and promote the freedom of opinion and freedom of expression as well as access to and exchange of information and to confront challenges that face these freedoms and rights including traditional and modern challenges.
The conference aims to examine ways of activating international human rights law, instruments and procedures related to freedom of opinion and expression, access to information and addressing the problems and challenges related to international human rights law introduced by modern communications technologies.
