Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced the recall of 2003 and 2004 Toyota Avalon due to defects in the airbag system. The recall in cooperation with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Co. WLL, agent for Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Qatar, is part of coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain dealers’ commitment to follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights.
The ministry said it will coordinate with dealers to follow up on maintenance and repairs and communicate with customers to ensure implementation of procedures to fix defects. The ministry urged consumers to report any abuses or irregularities to the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat which welcomes complaints, suggestions and inquiries. QNA
