Djibouti: Yemen’s Vice-President and Prime Minister Khaled Bahah expressed his thanks to Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his urgent assistance to Yemeni brothers.
This came when Bahah visited the centre for Qatari assistance in Yemen.
He was briefed on Qatar’s aid, which included 50 truckloads of food stuff for more than 60,000 people, coolers to solve the problem of drinking water, and generators and fans for the displaced Yemenis at camps in Djibouti.
Over seven Qatari aircraft carrying foodstuff and tents have been distributed in Aden and neighbouring regions.
Manama: Qatari Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani yesterday received the GCC Humanitarian Work Award on behalf of Foreign Minister and Qatar Development Fund Board Chairman H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, in a ceremony in Manama, held under the patronage of Bahrain’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs President Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa.
