Nawaz announces Sitara-e-Pakistan for ambassadors killed in copter crash

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that entire Pakistani nation is sad over the loss of lives in Naltar tragedy, as he attended a reference held in the memory of those killed in Friday's deadly helicopter crash. 

Ambassadors from different countries and relatives of those killed in the helicopter crash attended the somber ceremony held at the Foreign Office, where the prime minister announced to bestow 'Sitara-e-Pakistan' (Pakistan star) on the two diplomats from Norway and Philippines. 

The prime minister also lauded efforts of the two pilots of Pakistan Army, who rescued lives of the foreign dignitaries by putting their own lives on stake. 

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry said Pakistan lost best friends in the tragedy.
