Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced recall of Toyota Land Cruiser models 2009 – 2011. This recall came as a precautionary measure to update an electronic system for smart stop in the vehicle.
The Ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealers to follow up on the maintenance and repair and will communicate with the customers to make sure that the necessary repairs are carried out. The Ministry has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department on its hot line 8005000 or email: info@mec.gov.qa.
Meanwhile, the Ministry has intensified inspections on commercial outlets in Al Najada and Musherib areas, and caught 22 violations. They included practicing commercial activities not mentioned in the license, and as the expired licenses.
