Malarvadi children organisation honoured the winners of third colouring contest winners in a special ceremony held at MES Indian School KG auditorium.
Malarvadi Qatar chapter in association with Malabar Gold & Diamonds conducted the colouring contest for children studying in KG to grade 7 in Indian Schools across Qatar as part of Indian Republic Day celebration.
Around 7,500 children participated in the event making it one of biggest such event in the region.
112 children from Kids, Sub Junior, Junior and Denior category were honoured. First three winners in each category got a gold medal, memento and certificates.
First three place winners are, Kids: Haseen Ubaid (DPS-MIS), Anushka Girish Pillai (DPS-MIS), Ivailyn Johnly (MES), Sub Junior: Thaseem Subair (MES), Aaryan Vinod Prabhu (DPS-MIS), Harshith Guptha (DIMS), Junior: Huda Said (MES), Adithya Biju (Birla), Nidhi Noronha (DPS-MIS), Senior: Amina Mansoor (MES), Shamil Abdul Majeed (Ideal), Fahim P.M (MES).
MES Indian School grabbed overall champion position with 60 points, while DPS-MIS with 36 points and Birla Public School with 21 points won 2nd and third position respectively.
Birla Public School was awarded with Highest Participation award, DPS-MIS and Bhavans Public Schools are become second and third position in the terms of highest participation.
For the picture story writing competition Savitha Madhu Nair, Jaseena Shahanas and Jino George won first three positions, also received the prizes.
Malarvadi Chief Patron K C Abdul Latheef chaired the function, while Indian Embassy First Secretary Dinesh Udeniya was the Chief Guest.
Udeniya, Al Jazeera Children’s channel casting Manager Talal Ansari, Latheef, MES School vice principal Hameeda Kader, Malabar Gold Regional Head Santhosh T V, Branch Head Noufal Thadathil, IIA Vice President K T Abdul Rahman, Secretary Aboobackar PM, Youth Forum President Firoz S A and Program Vice Chairman N P Ashraf distributed the prizes.
Nadeera Ahmed, Asma Abdullah, Sainaba Abdul Jaleel, Jasna Najeem, Ani Siyad, Rubeena Saleem, Muhamed Saleem, Ashraf N P, Ashkar Ali, Abdul Kader K M P, Shamsudheen K, Wahidudheen P, Siyad M, Abdulaize, Basheer Ahmed, Iqbal PK and Sharafudheen M S, controlled the function.
