Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department has warned of rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds across the country this weekend.
In its latest weather forecast issued today, Thursday, March 12, 2026, the department said it expects to see thundery rain accompanied by strong winds along with hazy to cloudy conditions and the possibility of scattered rain.
On Friday, there are chances of thundery, scattered rain with partly cloudy skies, along with strong winds early in the day, while conditions will be relatively cold at night. During the day time, QMD stated that moderate temperatures are expected.
Mist or fog is likely in the early hours of Saturday, leading to poor horizontal visibility. The weather will be generally moderate during the day with scattered clouds, while at night, it is expected to be relatively cooler.
Temperatures on these three days will range between 20°C and 28°C. Winds are expected to blow northwesterly to northeasterly on Thursday and Saturday and will shift southeasterly to northeasterly on Friday at 5–15 knots.
Wave heights may rise up to 10 feet during thundery rain.
