Doha, Qatar: Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani received a number of telephone calls from Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Ministers of Interior of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
This comes in the context of the Iranian attack on the State of Qatar and countries in the region, and the related regional developments.
The calls focused on strengthening joint security coordination and unifying positions and efforts to confront any threat that may affect the security and stability of the Gulf states, based on the principle of Gulf security unity and in a manner that ensures the protection of the region.
His Excellency received telephone calls from each of HE Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates; HE Lt. Gen. Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain; His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; HE Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior of the Sultanate of Oman; and HE Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait.
For his part, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Interior of the GCC countries for their sincere fraternal sentiments, praising the high level of coordination and close cooperation between the security agencies of the GCC states.
