Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call on Wednesday from his brother, President of the sisterly Republic of Turkiye HE President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the call, President Erdogan inquired about the situation in the State of Qatar in light of the recent developments following the continued blatant Iranian aggression, reiterating his country’s solidarity and full support for all measures taken by the State of Qatar to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability.
The two sides also discussed the latest regional developments amid the continued Iranian aggression against Qatar and several countries in the region, and the threats this poses to regional security and stability.
They exchanged views on the efforts being made at the regional and international levels to immediately halt the escalation and strengthen diplomatic efforts to prevent the crisis from widening.
Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two brotherly countries, as well as intensifying cooperation with regional and international partners to support de-escalation and create favorable conditions for peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomatic means, in a manner that enhances regional security and stability.
