Doha, Qatar: The second edition of the World Summit AI – Qatar 2025 concluded yesterday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, organised by InspiredMinds! in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
Over two intensive days of expert discussions, technical showcases, and interactive workshops, the Summit brought together a broad community of global technology leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and specialists from around the world. Total attendance surpassed 8,000 participants, alongside nearly 100 international and local speakers.
The Qatar AI Pavilion drew remarkable attention as one of the Summit’s key focal points, presenting a comprehensive showcase of more than 20 national AI-driven innovations developed by 14 governmental and private-sector entities. The Pavilion highlighted the ability of national institutions to build real-world AI solutions that serve vital sectors including education, health, infrastructure, justice, media, and public services, reflecting the Ministry’s forward-looking vision of advancing applied innovation. The Summit also witnessed the signing of 14 strategic agreements and partnerships covering cloud infrastructure, capacity-building, smart educational technologies, generative AI solutions, digital governance, and digital inclusion. These agreements expanded Qatar’s international technology partnerships and strengthened institutional readiness for the next phase of data-driven transformation and advanced AI adoption.
Within the Summit’s accompanying exhibition, 62 exhibitors representing major global technology companies and national entities presented the latest solutions in cloud infrastructure, generative AI, and data analytics, alongside the participation of Qatar University and the Public Prosecution. This diversity underscored the Summit’s ability to convene government, private-sector, and academic institutions under one platform to showcase cutting-edge digital innovations.
The Summit also served as an important platform for startups, with the participation of 38 emerging companies offering AI-driven solutions and engaging directly with investors, government entities, and private-sector leaders. Many founders expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to showcase their innovations and expand their networks, further reinforcing Qatar’s standing as a supportive hub for tech-driven entrepreneurship. Academic institutions played a distinguished role, with more than 300 students and researchers participating in technical sessions and tracks dedicated to digital skills and future talent. Their contributions added depth to the program through research projects and applied ideas that reflect the growing academic momentum in Qatar around advanced AI domains.
It further hosted a series of bilateral meetings between government entities and leading global technology companies to explore collaboration opportunities in digital infrastructure and the development of advanced AI models for public services.
