As part of Events and Beyond’s campaign against Diabetes, a friendly volleyball match was held between two of Filipino's most active non-profit organisations here in Doha. The match was played between Filipino Overseas in Doha Qatar (FODQ) and Pinoy Heart Radio (PHR) wherein FODQ won in Women and Mixed category.
FODQ is a community group intended to give fun and foster camaraderie for Filipino expats to avoid the feeling of homesickness and boredom. It now has a member of 100 and still growing. Pinoy Heart Radio, a global free online radio stationis also engaged in community activities to help Filipinos in need of their services.
The volleyball friendly match was part of Events and Beyond's awareness campaign to fight diabetes. Playing sports is one of the ways to lower the risk of getting the disease in which Events and Beyond has actively initiating through sport activity like volleyball.The Peninsula
