Qatar Football Association Board Member Hani Ballan was appointed Deputy Chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee.
The committee is headed by former Italian referee, Pierluigi Collina and also includes 10 other members.
The Referees Committee is responsible for the implementation and interpretation of football laws and also proposes amendments to the laws of the Game to the FIFA Council.
The committee also appoints referees and assistant referees for matches in competitions organised by FIFA.
