Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast the possibility of local rain clouds forming over parts of the country.
It said rain was possible starting today, October 11, until Wednesday, October 14, with rain potentially accompanied by thunder on Tuesday.
In a separate social media post, the department said Qatar is experiencing a period of local convective cloud formation known as Al-Haqban, which precedes the Al-Wasmi season.
During this period, scattered rain is possible and may be accompanied by thunder at times.
"Clouds are formed as a result of the sea breeze coming from the Eastern coast meeting with the sea breeze coming from the Western coast on the central regions of the country accompanied by strong downdraft wind, which leads to blowing dust and low horizontal visibility," the department added.
