Doha: The activities of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition "Suhail 2026" continued on its fourth day, amid a continuous public attendance, with a remarkable variety in participants, products, and accompanying cultural events that combine Qatari heritage, traditional crafts, arts, modern technologies, and sustainable hunting experiences.
The exhibition, in its tenth edition, offers a comprehensive experience that goes beyond the traditional concept of display, as it brings together under one roof an elite group of companies, craftsmen, artists, and specialized entities from Qatar and around the world, enhancing its status as an international gathering for hunting and falconry enthusiasts, as well as for adventure and heritage lovers.
Mr. Khalifa bin Sultan Al Hamidi, member of the High Organizing Committee of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition /Suhail 2026/, said in a statement today that “Suhail Auction” is distinguished by an exceptional uniqueness, being the only auction specializing in highly rare falcons, away from hybrid falcons, which gives it a special position among falconers and falconry enthusiasts in Qatar and the Gulf countries.
He explained that the auction, which continues its presence in the tenth edition of the exhibition, witnesses continuous growth year after year, reflecting the increasing interest in highly rare falcons, as well as the presence of a wide base of enthusiasts and seekers of distinguished falcons. He pointed out that this year's auction includes 42 falcons, all subject to evaluation by a specialized committee that focuses on the aesthetic specifications and distinctive characteristics of each falcon, before selecting the most beautiful ones and including them in the daily auction.
He noted that the final value of a falcon is influenced by the level of demand and competition among participants in the auction, especially when the falcon is exceptional and attracts the attention of many of them. Al-Humaidi affirmed that the /Suhail Auction/ has become the main destination for the most beautiful and rarest falcons, and that breeders and falconers are keen to attend and participate, as the auction represents a platform that brings together a select group of highly rare falcons in one place.
The Suhail Auction 2026 continues to assert its position as one of the most exciting and attended events of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition, offering an exceptional opportunity to view and acquire rare and valuable types of falcons, considered among the rarest and finest that falconry enthusiasts can witness.
This year, the Suhail Auction includes 42 falcons, while the daily auction features four falcons, in addition to the falcons participating in the main auction, which reached about 38 falcons from the first day to the last.
These are among the rarest types of falcons in the "Hur" category, making the auction an exceptional event for enthusiasts of this type of falcon. A specialized committee is responsible for evaluating the participating falcons according to precise criteria, including aesthetic specifications and the distinctive characteristics of each falcon, ensuring the selection of the elite that attracts the attention of falconers and collectors.
The auction witnessed great participation from falconers and enthusiasts of rare falcons from various countries around the world, reflecting the growing status of /Suhail/ on the global falconry map, and its transformation into a primary destination for falconers and lovers of rare falcons, as well as a platform in Doha that brings together the elite of the rarest and finest birds.
It is worth noting that the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition "Suhail 2026" is participating this year with 158 exhibitors and participants from 15 countries, and its activities will conclude tomorrow evening Saturday.
