DOHA: The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has allowed Independent schools to enrol up to 33 students in one class to accommodate Qatari students facing exceptional circumstances.
The SEC yesterday issued a circular to Independent schools in this regard. The SEC rules stipulate a maximum 30 students in one class. The relaxation is applicable to only Qatari students from the respective geographical areas, Al Sharq reported.
Students seeking admission in such instances must make a request citing their special circumstance. It is not clear whether the new rule applies to Qatari students seeking admission in private schools.
