Doha, Qatar: The 3rd Hamba Pakistani Mango Exhibition and Its Products has made a strong start at Souq Waqif, attracting 27,200 visitors and recording 44,920kg (44.92 tonnes) of mango sales during its first two days.

According to the organisers, the exhibition welcomed 10,200 visitors on its opening day, when total mango sales reached 14,460kg. Public interest grew even further on the second day, with 17,000 visitors attending the event and mango sales rising to 30,460kg, reflecting the growing popularity of Pakistani mangoes among consumers in Qatar.

The exhibition is being held at the Eastern Square of Souq Waqif and is organised by the Celebrations Committee at the Private Engineering Office in cooperation with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Qatar.

It will continue until July 18, welcoming visitors daily from 4pm to 10pm.

This year’s edition is the largest since the exhibition was launched, bringing together more than 30 Pakistani and local companies, along with over 30 restaurants and food exhibitors. Visitors can sample and purchase a wide variety of mango-based products, including fresh juices, desserts, ice cream, pickles and authentic Pakistani cuisine prepared by participating restaurants.

The exhibition showcases more than 10 of Pakistan’s best-known mango varieties, including Sindhri, Chaunsa, White Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol and Dusehri, allowing visitors to experience the rich flavours and diversity of one of Pakistan’s most celebrated agricultural products.

Beyond mangoes, the exhibition also features a selection of Pakistan’s seasonal fruits, including apricots, peaches, jamun and chikoo, which together account for around 20% of the products on display. The inclusion of these fruits offers visitors a broader glimpse into Pakistan’s agricultural sector and its diverse produce.

Specialised chefs and participating restaurants are also presenting innovative mango-inspired dishes and beverages, adding a culinary dimension to the exhibition and providing visitors with new ways to enjoy the fruit beyond its fresh form.

To enhance the visitor experience, organisers have installed a fully air-conditioned exhibition tent measuring approximately 100 metres in length and 30 metres in width at Souq Waqif’s Eastern Square. The venue provides a comfortable environment for families and shoppers despite the summer temperatures, with a range of services and facilities available throughout the event.

The exhibition has become one of Souq Waqif’s signature seasonal attractions.
