Qatari Forum for Authors highlighted a book of the classic Arabic literature in Russian language, which is the curriculum for the learners of Arabic language literature in the Ukrainian universities by author Dr. Abdul Rahman Mahmoud Al Mahmoud within a new session of weekly “Writer and Book” sessions managed by Media specialist and writer Saleh Gharib, Director of Programs at the Qatari Forum for Authors.
The guest, who is a writer, traveller, and lecturer at Ukrainian universities talked about the content of the book on the history of the Arab literature, its major symbols and its translation into Russian, in addition to adopting it as a reference in this field in Ukrainian universities, along with other books such as a school dictionary approved by the Ministry of Education because it is the first of its kind that
In another context, the Qatari Forum for Authors launched a new initiative entitled “My First Book” presented by writer Dhafer Aiden Darkoshi.
The initiative is intended to introduce the Qatari writers and the residents in Qatar, and spotlighting the conditions, stimuli and motives of publishing the first work, and discussing the content of the book and the message behind its publication, in addition to the challenges or difficulties that encountered the writer, the decisions he has taken and the approach he pursued after this book.
The first episode hosted the young writer Zahra Al Youssef, who discussed her first work, the novel “Incomplete Letters” which is evidently a social-emotional novel published by Dar Al Sharq in 2016.
