Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced the recall of 2003 until 2004 Toyota Avalon due to defects in the air bag system.
The recall which has been done in cooperation with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Co. W.L.L. the agent for Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Qatar, comes within the framework of ongoing coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the extent of car dealerships' commitment to follow up vehicles' defects and repair them to protect consumers' rights.
The ministry stressed that it will coordinate with the dealership to follow up maintenance and repair operations and will communicate with customers to ensure implementation of the procedures to fix defects.
The ministry urged consumers to report any abuses or irregularities by communicating with the Department ofConsumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat which will receive complaints, suggestions and inquiries through its communication channels.
