DOHA: The Public Works Authority — Ashghal — has announced the closure of one lane on the Corniche roundabout in Al Khor City for two months beginning from Saturday.
One lane in both directions from Corniche Street to Al Amir Street will be closed for traffic, while the second lane will remain open in each direction. The median and shoulders (emergency stopping lane) on all streets leading to the roundabout will also
be closed.
The closure is to facilitate infrastructure development works on Al Khor Commercial Street and to convert Al Khor Corniche Roundabout to a signal-controlled intersection, said Ashghal.
Ashghal has announced another closure at Al Kassarat Street in Industrial Area for six months, also starting from Saturday.
The road extending from Roundabout 23 to Roundabout 33 will be closed.
Traffic will be diverted to the opposite side of the road which will be expanded to accommodate traffic in both directions.
