Carluccio’s, an Italian casual dining restaurant and food shop, hosted a group of media representatives to an up close and personal exclusive pizza making class conducted by head chef Nicola. The guests were provided insights on authentic pizza making and were taken through a brief history and the techniques used in the days gone by to make a pizza.
During the course of the afternoon, guests put on an apron and made pizzas by forming the perfect dough and adding delicious toppings, followed by cooking in an authentic wood-fired pizza oven, the traditional way. The quality of ingredients to make the perfect pizza was emphasised on. Carluccio’s team of dedicated Italian chefs have tasted, tested and argued over the recipe and method to make sure they are creating absolute pizza perfection. The guests were able to sample the pizzas they prepared, all made in-house from the freshest of local ingredients combined with products imported from Italy.
Sanjeev Thakur, Country Operations Manager at Foodmark Qatar, said: “It is with great pleasure that we conducted this pizza making session for select media representatives. We are really keen to informally meet up with the local media, further strengthen our relationship with them and thank them for their ongoing support. After this huge success, we will continue to conduct many more master classes.”The Peninsula
