Doha: Coach Fahad Thani will announce his squad for Qatar’s remaining two 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying games at the end of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) that concludes later this month.
Qatar take on Iran on June 4 and then Uzbekistan on June 18 in two Group A, Asian Zone matches.
Qatar lost to Korea in an away game on March 26 when the home side edged past ‘Al Anabi’ 2-1 in Seoul.
Fahad’s side is trailing behind leaders Uzbekistan (11), Korea (10) and Iran (7) in Group A.
Lebanon are the fifth side with 4 points from 6 matches.

Meanwhile, football officials Hassan Ibrahim Al Obaidli and Abdallah Arder, members of the Qatar Olympic squad, have left for Bangkok, Thailand and Kuala Lampur, Malaysia it emerged yesterday.
The two officials will arrive in Thai capital and make preparations for the Olympic side’s training camp to be held in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
