Assistant to the Sudanese President Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Al Sadeq Al Mahdi has underlined the deep-rooted relations between the Republic of Sudan and the State of Qatar which led to the development of mutual cooperation in all fields and domains.
After his visit to Qatar's Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy headquarters, President's Assistant praised Qatar's major role in establishing peace in Darfur and enhancing security and stability in the region.
Commenting on his visit, he highlighted the huge preparation and remarkable infrastructure work to host 2022 World Cup, which he said proves Qatar's significant development in all areas, noting that such arrangements exceed any preparations for an international football tournament.
He also hailed Qatar's great development in the field of sports and sports facilities which represents a source of pride for all Arabs and the Middle East region, noting that he attended recently the conclusion of the endurance ride challenge for the sword of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, which he described as high-quality world-class and interesting race.
Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Al Sadeq Al Mahdi underlined that Qatar is one of the countries that honours Arabs in all fields, especially the sports field.
