Qatar University (QU) will organise the “IREG Forum 2017 under the title “Excellence as the University Driving Force” on March 13 and March 14.
Details of the two-day conference were outlined by QU Chief Strategy and Development Officer Dr Darwish Al Emadi at a press conference. The conference, to be held for the first time in the region, is organised in collaboration with IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence (IREG Observatory). It aims to provide a platform to discuss the various aspects of academic excellence, and to learn about new initiatives.

H E Ibrahim Al Ibrahim and The World Bank Lead Global Solutions Group on Tertiary Education and Lead Education Specialist for India Francisco Marmolejo will present on “Excellence in Higher Education and its role in Qatar National Vision 2030” and “Benefits and excesses in the use of rankings”.
Commenting on the conference, Dr Darwish Al Emadi said: “I am delighted to welcome you all at QU to announce the hosting of the IREG Forum 2017 on Academic Rankings for the first time in the region.
