Muscat: Represented by the Civil Aviation Authority, Qatar participated in the 8th ICAO Security Week 2024, held in Muscat, Oman.
In charge of managing Civil Aviation Authority Mohammed Faleh Al Hajri headed Qatar’s delegation. The delegation also included representatives of a number of governmental and private entities concerned with aviation security and cybersecurity.
The event included a series of discussion sessions and workshops in which emerging cyber challenges were discussed, the development of security requirements to keep pace with modern threats in the world of aviation, in addition to the importance of sustainability in facing economic challenges and increasing numbers of travelers, and identifying opportunities to establish a secure future for the global air travel sector.
Qatar is an active member of the ICAO aviation security expert group, an observer in the civil aviation cybersecurity expert group, and in various technical working groups.
