As part of its ongoing CSR initiatives, Domasco Honda recently donated over QR20,000 to Seeing is Believing, the global campaign to fight preventable blindness. The charity auction was organised by Standard Chartered Bank which is spearheading this commendable effort worldwide. It was held at the St Regis Hotel - Doha, and was hosted by Khalifa Haroon or “Mr. Q”.
Domasco donated two unique Honda Elite scooters used and autographed by Marc Marquez, current MotoGP World Champion and Dani Pedrosa, current world number 4.
The only two of their kind in the world, the scooters were auctioned off for over QR22,000, with all the proceeds going to charity.
“We value each and every individual in our society and we believe that everyone should be given an opportunity to improve his/her life,” said Greig Roffey, Head of Sales and Marketing of for Honda, before adding: “Therefore, Domasco Honda has always been proud to be involved in programmes with a social focus.”
Faisal Sharif, Managing Director of Domasco, said: “Vision is of crucial importance in our life; why not protect it when possible. Most of cases of blindness are preventable and it is important to raise awareness in this regard.
