Traffic patrol comes under heavy fire in Saudi Qatif district

Riyadh: A traffic patrol came under heavy fire from a farming area while performing its duties in Saudi Arabia's Qatif district last night.
The assistant of the commander of the traffic patrol and two passers-by (of the Indian nationality) were injured, the Security spokesman of the Saudi Interior Ministry said, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA). 
A citizen's car was also hit without injuring its driver, he added.
The Security spokesman explained that the injured were taken to the hospital and they are now in stable condition, pointing out that the security authorities immediately began criminal investigation and procedures.
