Doha, Qatar: As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional performance and develop human capital, the Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has organised a specialised training course on artificial intelligence (AI) tools for its employees across various departments.

The initiative reflects the centre’s commitment to equipping its workforce with the digital skills needed to keep pace with rapid technological advancements and to integrate modern AI applications into its educational, cultural, and institutional activities.

The training forms part of the centre’s broader strategy to invest in human capital by enabling staff to leverage AI technologies in education, training, institutional communication, and content development, with the aim of enhancing efficiency, creativity, and productivity.

The program provided practical training on the latest AI-powered presentation and interactive content creation tools, introducing participants to digital platforms that facilitate the production of professional-quality educational materials more efficiently and in less time. It also explored modern AI applications that can improve knowledge delivery, audience engagement, and communication practices.

A total of 19 employees participated in the course, including instructors from the Arabic Language Department for Non-Native Speakers, as well as staff from the Public Relations, Authorship, and Translation departments. The diverse participation reflected the center’s commitment to expanding the use of AI technologies across its various operational and educational functions.

The exchange of ideas among participants enriched discussions on how AI can be effectively utilized to enhance educational programs, cultural activities, and awareness content delivered by the centre to different segments of society.

Participants praised the scientific quality of the course and its interactive, hands-on approach, noting that the practical knowledge and skills acquired are directly relevant to their professional responsibilities. They highlighted the growing importance of AI applications across different fields and emphasized that the training would help improve their performance and the quality of their work. They also called for the continuation of similar specialized programs that keep pace with technological developments and meet evolving staff needs.

The initiative underscores the centre’s commitment to building a digitally skilled workforce capable of supporting the modernization of its services and programs while advancing its mission of promoting knowledge, cultural dialogue, and community engagement.

The training also aligns with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs’ Strategic Plan (2025–2030), which places strong emphasis on digital transformation, human resource development, and institutional innovation to improve operational efficiency and service quality.

Furthermore, the initiative contributes to the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly the pillar of human development, which focuses on fostering a knowledge-based society, strengthening national capabilities, and supporting sustainable development through innovation and institutional excellence.
