Amir receives phone call from Prime Minister of Pakistan

Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call from Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan HE Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

During the call, they reviewed bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening them, as well as discussing the latest regional and international developments and efforts to support security and peace in the region.

HE the Pakistani Prime Minister affirmed Pakistan's full support for and solidarity with the State of Qatar in light of current regional developments, stressing the importance of restraint, dialogue, and diplomacy to preserve the gains of peace achieved in the recent period.

HE the Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the role of the State of Qatar and its continuous efforts in supporting peace initiatives, emphasizing his country's aspiration to continue coordination and joint action to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

The two sides reviewed current developments in the region, particularly those related to diplomatic efforts and talks between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, stressing the need to continue efforts aimed at reducing tensions and resolving disputes through peaceful means.

HH the Amir and HE the Pakistani Prime Minister affirmed their commitment to continuing coordination and cooperation in a way that supports regional security, maintains the security of navigation and maritime routes, and contributes to creating the conditions for achieving lasting and sustainable peace in the region.
