Doha: Al Arabi SC announced on Saturday that they signed Tunisian coach Qais Yaqoubi to take charge of the team ahead of the start of the 2017-2018 season of Qatar Stars League (QSL).
Yaqoubi has earlier managed Al Wakrah. He was not so successful in his mission however and Wakrah ended up relegating to the second division during his earlier tenure.
However, Al Arabi will hope that the change in management can help propel the team to the top of the table in the upcoming season.
Al Arabi had also signed Al Sadd player Hossam Kamal in a bid to reinforce the squad.
