The Doha Municipality has registered violations by some shops such as not removing damaged vegetables and not giving required documents. About 12 inspectors and food specialists took part in a campaign during Ramadan to ensure the safety of fruits and vegetables sold to consumers. They focused on supply mechanisms and documents to check if food items were locally produced or imported and took samples for tests.
