Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has shut down a store at the wholesale market on Salwa Road for one month for selling counterfeits and expired products. In a statement yesterday, the ministry said violations included expired medications that bear a famous brand and counterfeit pens and compact discs. Inspectors also found products, including electric sockets, cosmetics and perfumes that did not conform with standard specifications such as the country of origin.
