Doha: The third GCC media forum began here yesterday.
Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, CEO, Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), attended the opening of the forum along with Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Salman Sabah Al Salim Al Sabah, Omani Minister of Information Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said Al Hasani, Bahrain’s Minister of State for Information Affairs Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi and GCC media specialists and academics.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the forum, Youssef Ibrahim Al Malki, Head, Media Development, QMC, said holding the forum on an annual basis on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting aims to discuss issues that affect GCC citizens.
It also aims to discuss regional and international challenges.
The 23rd meeting of GCC ministers of information begins today. QNA
