To educate and make awareness among the expatriate communities in Qatar about the virtues and importance of holy month, a programme titled Ahlan Ramdan was held under the supervision of Ministry of Islamic Affairs (AWQAF) and Abdulla bin Zayed Al Mahmood Islamic Cultural Centre (Fanar).
Islamic scholar and speaker Hussain Salafi delivered a lecture on Holy Ramadan at New Salata mosque covering various etiquettes that believers should observe during this month. The month with reduced working hours here in Qatar provides us the opportunity to attain self-purity and control through reciting Holy Quran, offering night prayers, paying-off Zakat and remembrance of Allah, Sheikh emphasized. The function was inaugurated by the Head of Muslim Community Division of Fanar Sheikh Abu Obaida Al Jabravi and Umer faizy.
