Doha: Nasser Bin Khaled Holding (NBK) hosted local students from Qatar University, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Georgetown University in Qatar and London Academy as part of the ‘Job Shadow Day’ organised by Injaz Qatar.
The students spent the day at NBK sites, gaining first-hand experience from employees from key departments, who provided mentoring and shared knowledge to expand the students’ understanding of skills required for rewarding corporate careers.
NBK helped the students gain an overview on some key sectors that contribute to Qatar’s growth and development, including automotive, construction, real estate, luxury and fashion, healthcare, energy and industry, and travel and tourism.
The students also interacted with professionals who shared insights into Qatar’s dynamic business environment and engaged them in discussions to develop innovative personal strategies for continued success.
Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser, Chairman and CEO, NBK Holding, said, “The initiative is a learning experience for shaping the leaders of tomorrow, merging classroom learning with real-world knowledge that helps young minds gain exposure to career fields of interest.”
