MyQatar, a national environment-themed photography challenge, has been launched under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment. The challenge, which is sponsored by The Youth Company, N-KOM and Nakilat, provides the opportunity for all university and high school students to showcase their photography skills by capturing photos of nature in Qatar.
There are three main categories: wildlife, recycling and greenery. Students can practice their photography skills by capturing breathtaking scenes, which fall into either of the categories. The first prize winner will receive a cash prize of QR3,000 and have his/her photograph displayed along with several others at a photography exhibition that will be held during World Environment Day. Students coming in second and third place also stand a chance to win attractive prizes.
Students can submit their photos by uploading them on their public Instagram accounts and using the hashtags #QWED2015 and #QATARWED2015 until May 10th, 2015.
