Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Private Sector Nationalisation Award continues to set benchmarks for recognising organisations and individuals driving national workforce participation in the private sector.
Khames Mohammed Al Naimi, Assistant Undersecretary for National Manpower Affairs in the Private Sector at the Ministry of Labour, highlighted that the award operates under a comprehensive evaluation system designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and measurable impact.
“The award is a national initiative aimed at honouring establishments that achieve nationalisation targets, while also recognising the outstanding contributions of our national workforce,” he said in a recorded message shared on the Ministry’s social media channels.
The award encourages active participation and supports Qatar’s economic growth, in line with the Nationalisation Plan under the slogan “We Work for Qatar.” Al Naimi explained that it strengthens the culture of nationalisation, promotes professional excellence, and raises awareness of career opportunities in the private sector.
The evaluation framework combines quantitative and qualitative criteria, reflected through a classification system that fosters positive competition across two main categories: organisations and individuals. In the sectoral category, companies compete within similar operational environments, while individuals are assessed along comparable career pathways to ensure equal opportunities.
In the central category, both individuals and organisations are celebrated for contributions that advance national priorities, with evaluations focusing on the sustainable, tangible impact of their initiatives on workforce development.
“Through this award, we aim to transform the vision of our leadership in supporting national competencies into concrete results, establishing a cornerstone for sustainable economic development in Qatar,” Al Naimi noted.
The Ministry of Labour continues to invite organisations and individuals to participate and register, sharing their success stories in attracting, empowering, and showcasing national talent. The registration deadline for the award is May 9, 2026, and interested participants can register through the Himmah Platform.
Participation reflects a commitment to building a more sustainable labour market while providing a platform to showcase pioneering efforts in support of nationalisation.
The award recognises excellence across two primary categories, Institutions and Individuals, spanning nine economic sectors: Financial Services, IT & Digital Transformation, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Education, Tourism, Logistics & Services, Construction, and Food & Agriculture.
The award is governed by a Board of Trustees, established under Amiri Decree No. 27 and chaired by the Minister of Labour.
The Board ensures the highest standards of fairness, transparency, and professionalism in managing the award and evaluating its outcomes. This governance structure reinforces a culture of meritocracy and supports the strategic objectives of workforce nationalisation.
