Doha: The events of the middle of the third academic term at Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind kicked off Monday and will last until April 13, featuring a series of different activities.
The center is keen on offering diverse cultural, social, sports, educational and entertainment activities in order to address the different needs of its members.
The events include identifying metals, precious stones and pearl, which helps in teaching the blind about art and innovation by feeling the items and describing them.
The center helps in developing the skills of participants through sporting activities as they take part in a table tennis tournament. At the end of activities, the center will hold a workshop on writing cultural articles, in which the members of the center will learn about the required steps to successfully write a cultural piece. Qatari academic Dr. Abdullah Al-Ibrahim will moderate the session.
