Doha: Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) participated in the 22nd edition of the Doha Forum, reaffirming its dedication to driving sustainable development and strengthening global cooperation to address pressing global challenges.
During the forum, QFFD hosted a series of high-level discussions and had a dedicated booth showcasing its impactful initiatives around the world.
The fund also held meetings with key stakeholders and partners to explore innovative solutions to overcome major challenges in humanitarian aid and sustainable development projects.
QFFD organised a prominent discussion titled, “Resilience and Innovation: Supporting Women and Girls in Conflict and Post Conflict Situations,” in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
The session focused on the unique challenges faced by women and girls in conflict zones, including social violence, limited access to essential services such as education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. The discussion called for empowering women in conflict zones and involving them in decisions regarding humanitarian efforts and conflict resolution.
