Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of National Education in the Republic of Colombia yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing and developing cooperation in the fields of education, higher education and scientific research.
The MoU was signed by Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Colombia H E Luis Gilberto Murillo, , on the sidelines of his participation in the Doha Forum 2024.
The signing of the MoU came as a desire by both parties to strengthen the distinguished relations between them, especially developing cooperation in the fields of education, higher education and scientific research, on the basis of mutual interests, and to achieve the goals and objectives included in the MoU.
Under the MoU, the two parties encourage cooperation in exchange of expertise in education, higher education and scientific research, especially the transfer of knowledge and modern technology, exchange of visits between public and higher education officials, including members of academic bodies, lecturers, researchers and students in public and higher education institutions, and joint organization of scientific events.
