World Bihar Organization (WBO) organized the book release function of poetry collection Dastras and Annual Mushaira recently at the Maza Restaurant.
The programme was presided over by Patron in Chief of Bazm e Urdu M S Bukhari, Managing Director, Satco Group. Habibun Nabi and Shakil Kakvi were Guests of Honours.
Welcome address was presented by Aqueel Ahmed, General Secretary of WBO. Sarfaraz Khan, Chairman of WBO, addressed the gathering.
Nadeem Mahir compered the function. Shakil Kakvi, Sharjeel Kakvi, Mahfooz Ahmad, Amjad Ali Srawar, Bilal Khan and Dr Ataur Rahman spoke about the book and author Ahmed Ashfaque. All speakers appreciated the book for choosing common issues of the people and describing them nicely in a poetic way.
Annual Mushaira with local poets Amjad Alisarwar, Shafiq Akhtar, Fartash Syed, Shaukat Ali Naz, Aziz Nabeel, Nadeem Mahir, Ijaz Haider, Faizi Azmi, Qaisar Masood, Athar Azmi, Athar Zia, Tahir Jamil, Anwar Karim and RaqimAzmi was also held during the function.
Dastras was presented to Ahmed Ashfaque by Bukhari. Ashfaque thanked all who helped him in printing the book.
