Qatar Stock Exchange index begins trading in green zone

Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange index started trading yesterday, with an increase of 0.54 percent, to add 67.85 points to its balance and rise to the level of 12,637 points, compared to Monday’s closing.

The data issued by the Qatar Stock Exchange attributed the improvement in the performance of the general index to the rise of most sectors, as the communications sector increased by 3.94 percent, the insurance sector by 1.07 percent, the transportation sector by 0.80 percent, the industrial sector by 0.34 percent, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.27 percent, and the real estate by 0.26 percent, while the bank and financial services sector index decreased by 1.23 percent.

At 10am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR104.293m, distributed among 38.590 million shares with the implementation of 3,242 transactions.
