DOHA: The Ooredoo Mobile Money service yesterday announced the launch of the “Ooredoo Exchange”, a new feature that will enable Ooredoo Mobile Money customers to send money directly to any bank account or mobile wallet in selected international countries.
With the Ooredoo Exchange service, customers can now directly transfer money via Ooredoo’s bigger and faster network to their loved ones’ bank accounts in countries including: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, and the Philippines. Customers can access the service now through the secure and reliable USSD (*140#) service menu. Plans are in place to update the Ooredoo Money App with the Ooredoo exchange service soon.
As an added bonus, customers can now take advantage of a reduced fee of just QR 1 per international transfer with the service until the end of July. Users have to simply dial *140# and select “Ooredoo Exchange” while registering their beneficiaries’ bank account details to send money.
