MAKKAH: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday met Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Al Safa Palace in Makkah.
The Emir’s Personal Representative H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and delegation, Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet Dr Musaad bin Mohammed Al Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Acting Minister of Housing Isam bin Saad bin Saeed and Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir were present.
The meeting reviewed fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries, ways of boosting and developing them on all fronts as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Emir also attended an Iftar banquet hosted by King Salman and his and his delegation’s honour.
Earlier, the Emir arrived in Jeddah on a short brotherly visit to Saudi Arabia.
He and his delegation were welcomed at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Makkah Region Governor and Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Dr Bin Said, Qatari Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani and Qatari embassy staff.
The Emir also met Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at his palace in Jeddah and reviewed cooperation between both countries and regional developments.
The Emir’s Personal Representative and delegation were present.
Later, the Emir left Jeddah. He and his delegation were seen off at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Jeddah Governor Prince Mishaal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Bin Saeed; the Qatari ambassador and staff of the embassy. QNA
